“Block Boundaries is the new album from minimalist composer Ryan Teague building on his previous releases for Type, Sonic Pieces and current label Village Green. Inspired by the theme of Psychogeography, the record fuses acoustic instrumentation with electronic and processed material, taking the listener on a hallucinogenic Ballardian journey through the urban landscape.”
New album Block Boundaries will be released on CD, Vinyl and Digital by Village Green (distribution PIAS) on November 3rd 2014…
The album demonstrates a sonic and thematic shift towards a sound which draws as much from the urban environment and electronic music as to the more familiar electro-acoustic minimalist themes.
The full press release can be found here and you can listen to a full length track from the album below. More info Soon!
Ryan Teague | Artifacts 1-4
King Tree KTX003 (2013)
Artifacts 1-4 is the first in a new series of EPs from Ryan Teague focusing on source material derived entirely from analogue, vintage and found sources. Echoes of strings, found recordings and vintage synths are woven together to produce unified and organic soundscapes which also hark back to some of Ryans more ambient earlier works. It’s out now on King Tree (distribution: Morr Music) and comes ahead of a new full length album due in spring 2014.

Last year I decided to make a few Text Tones for iOS, and it seemed like a good time to upload them for people to make use of. You can download mp3s directly here (N.B. These will work with any MP3 compatible phone but will need correctly importing for iPhone).
I’ve decided to make recordings of my progress on the Javanese Gendèr and upload them. I’ll be producing these and adding to the collection as and when I have time. First up is the traditional Javanese welcoming piece ‘Ladrang Wilujng’.
